Dru Yoga is known for the calming , uplifting influence it has on the nervous system .

Modifications and alternatives are offered to suit a myriad of considerations.

Dru Meditation

DRU YOGA with MEDITATION - working toward INNER PEACE, CLARITY OF THOUGHT AND COMPASSION FOR SELF and OTHERS.

Additional benefits are inclusive of - improved sleep 75% of insomniacs were able to sleep normally when they meditated

- increased release of the youth hormone DHEA. Meditating forty-five-year-old males have an average of 23 percent more DHEA than non-meditators, and meditating females have an average of 47 percent more. DHEA helps decrease stress, heighten memory, preserve sexual function, and control weight.

In this healing YOGA with MEDITATION class we begin with gentle movement. Relaxation then brings greater balance to the nervous system. We work with breath, visualisation and other techniques to gradually deepen focus and concentration as we work toward stillness through meditation.

Our aim is to ultimately achieve balance in body, mind and spirit, reducing fatigue, stress and tension, leading toward a deeper sense of inner peace and wellbeing.

Dru Yoga at its energising best. This is the class to invigorate and ready you for the day and week ahead. We aim to promote strength, uplift the spirit and boost positivity, encouraging confidence and vitality.. Wonderful for those on the way to work or the early birds who wish to make the most of their day.

THIS UPLIFTING CLASS NOURISHES, NURTURES, & EMPOWERS offering enrichment for both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Commencing with free flowing movement to warm the body and quieten the mind we transition to sequences and postures that begin to gently challenge, stretch and energise, encouraging release of stress and tension. Modifications are offered to enable the greatest level of participation, depth of practice and enjoyment. This delightful, inclusive class always finishes with a deeply restorative, replenishing, relaxation.

Wellbeing / Chair Yoga

RESTORATIVE, HEALING AND POSITIVITY ENHANCING

This joyful class focuses on working toward improvement in balance, strength and co-ordination. We work at a gentle pace aiming to increase overall energy and well-being while developing tools to bring calm, reduce stress and lessen fatigue. We build on our enjoyment and celebrate achievement.

This class is practiced seated, standing or a well blended mix of both, offering choice to suit the day, your abilities and your aims. .

As all Dru Yoga, it is designed for inclusivity. It may be the right class for you as

  • a gentle (re) introduction to a regular practice.

  • assisting the development of greater flow and ease in movement.

  • steady gains and strong foundations are made in a time frame that is right for you..

  • we facilitate an wholistic practice for growth in both confidence and physical ability..

    This class may well be the inclusive class you have been seeking and perhaps the right choice for the more Senior Members of our community or the younger and young at heart living with mobility concerns ore require a confidence builder..

A Medical clearance may be required.

  • A Private Class may enable students to grow in confidence. strength and knowledge before making the transition to group classes.

  • For those recovering from injury or illness it may be the means to (re) develop confidence and strength in line with healing and recovery. ( medical clearance may be required)

  • Those living with a more involved chronic condition often require greater personalised care than a group class is able to provide. ( medical clearance will be required).

  • A Private class is also a fabulous way to CELEBRATE your BIRTHDAY, FABULOUS FRIENDSHIPS and so much more - PHONE, TEXT or EMAIL me to Pre Book a one off class for your special group.

SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
CALMING, CLARIFYING, ENERGISING

We work with posture, movement and breath to balance the nervous system and enhance vitality. We aim to reduce feelings of stress and fatigue which often build alongside ever increasing study loads and expectation. Calm, clear, positive thought resonates as energy flows more freely through the body, uplifting the spirit and encouraging resilience, self confidence and focus. To me this class is of great benefit for those in the final years of secondary education.

EARLY HIGH SCHOOL

Energy and mindfulness come together in a yoga practice full of ever improving abilities. We find that as we practise together with genuine joy and respect, positivity builds and can be a gateway to an increase in self confidence and support for one another. Quiet and focus is for the later part of class, gently building awareness of the benefits, responses and discoveries of working with a more settled mind, quietened body and calmed inner self.
